Meet Jeffrey: First-Generation Police Science Student

Every time I walk out of class, there will be a party or some kind of awesome event going on, and it definitely brightens up the mood of being at college.

Jeffrey Shrawder is pursuing his degree in police science at HACC. He hopes to join the Hershey State Police Academy and one day become a state police officer. At the time that he completed HACC’s Story Bank, Jeffrey had only been at HACC for about one month but was already loving the experience.

He said, “After attending HACC for my first time, I realized it’s just like any other college. I noticed everyone works really hard to achieve their goals, and interacts with everyone around them. HACC is open for anyone to attend, making that a learning experience in itself.”

From his fellow students to advising staff and professors, Jeffrey has discovered that the people around him at HACC are here to help.

“I am very proud to be a first-generation college student, as I have been pushing myself and trying my hardest to attend college,” he said.

With the support and encouragement of the HACC community, we know Jeffrey will continue to feel #HACCproud!
