Chanraksmey, a first-generation engineering student, says that HACC helped her acclimate to life in the U.S. and that enrolling at the College was a "life-changing decision." She said, "From the moment I stepped on campus, I felt welcomed by a supportive community of peers, advisors and instructors. They have helped me navigate the complexities of the U.S. education system and develop a plan for academic success. Without their support, I would not have been able to achieve the success I have today." The extensive resources and services offered at HACC have also been beneficial for Chanraksmey. She notes that the College's advisors were "instrumental in helping me plan my educational path and provided valuable advice that led me to success." Chanraksmey has also secured opportunities outside of the College. She currently works as an assistant center director at Mathnasium, a local learning center that helps children expand their math skills. "Overall, HACC has made my life better by helping me adapt and thrive in this new society," she says. "I highly recommend HACC due to its exceptional quality of education and team of skilled educators who are dedicated to helping students succeed. Choosing HACC means you'll have access to a wealth of knowledge and opportunities to learn and grow." In the future, Chanraksmey plans to transfer to a four-year college to earn a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Explore your career options at HACC.
