The areas involved include the library, Learning Commons and tutoring center.
These areas will be closed on July 8, 2025, for disinfection. HACC will use Moon Beam3 UV machines to disinfect and follow up with an approved EPA product for disinfection.
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends the following to prevent further spread of C. diff:
Washing your hands with soap and water
Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces

Campus Season of Giving event collects 19 boxes of non-perishable, canned items

LANCASTER – Staff and faculty at the Lancaster Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, collected 19 boxes of non-perishable food items and canned goods for the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank during the annual Season of Giving Holiday Party. On Monday, Jim Burns, food bank volunteer coordinator, far left, joined Lancaster Campus volunteers to load up the items for delivery to the food bank. Helping out were, front row, Jackie Bareuther, left, and Maureen Campbell, associate deans of Student Services; and back row, from left, Brenda DiModugno, multicultural affairs coordinator; Lori Corradino, assistant director of Academic Success, and Kathy Brickner, Enrollment Services coordinator. The items were donated by the 125 faculty and staff who attended the annual HACC Season of Giving Holiday Party held Friday on the Lancaster Campus.
